The Greek flag at Sardegna Rally!

Jourdan Serderidis will participate in selected races of the World Rally Championship this year. Our compatriot’s great goal is the distinction between the Greeks at the Acropolis Rally as well as the dignified presence at the Sardegna Rally and the Safari Rally.

In the fifth round of the WRC, the Sardegna Rally, the driver from Kavala will participate with a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo in the WRC2 Masters category: “We return to selected WRC races this year, always keeping in mind our participation in the Acropolis Rally in September. We want to drive as many kilometers as possible on hard gravel special stages and the Sardinian race is suitable for training. We will participate with a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo similar to the one we followed last year at the Greek Rally Championship in a very competitive category. The WRC2 Masters features renowned drivers including Freddy Loix and Armin Kremer. We will try to move decently in the hard specials of the race, to avoid the punctures and to pass some of the Masters”, said the driver.

The hardness of the special routes and the heat will play a decisive role in the development of the rally: “We know we will suffer from the heat and we are prepared to deal with it. Our races in Greece last summer have “strengthened” us in this area as well. But I am optimistic that we will be able to cope with Sardinia’s adversity. We made correct recce and the test we performed before the race went smoothly”, Serderidis stated and added: “It is not enough to drive fast in this particular race. “Because of his toughness, you have to move smart and avoid punctures!”

The Sardegna Rally includes 21 special stages and 308 racing kilometers. It starts on Thursday afternoon with the super special in Olbia and ends on Sunday at noon in the beautiful port of Alghero.
