Fourth place for Serderidis at Corinth Rally

Iordanis Serderidis completed theCorinth Rally in the fourth place, which was the second round of the Greek Rally Championship. In a difficult race, due to the high temperatures and the tough -Acropolis Rally like- special stages, the driver from Kavala finished, collecting valuable points for the championship and experience that will help him in our national rally in September.

The rally program included two special stages, which were repeated twice. The start was not the best possible for Iordanis Serderidis, who stated regarding the morning loop of rally stages: “The first stage of the rally did not run smoothly for us. While we got a good pace, we had hard time with the dust of the cars ahead. As if that were not enough, we had a spin resulting in wasting time and achieving the sixth best performance. On the other hand
SS Loutraki, it was an easier stage and clearly faster, so we moved without any problems, climbing two places in the general classification “

The high temperatures were the main feature of this year’s race: “The heat during recce and also in the Rally was unbearable, with temperatures exceeding 50 ° C inside the car. Certainly the car was strained like us, but we managed to cope with this unprecedented conditions for us of the rally “, were the words of the driver from Kavala, who continued regarding his pace in the second loop of stages: “Unfortunately, in the second pass in SS Ag. Theodorous, we overdid it at one point, as a result of which we spun the car, wasting precious seconds. Luckily, this mistake did not cost us any in the general classification, so we entered the last special stage, having in mind to reach the finish, not being able to “catch” the leading crews. So it happened!”

Continuing tthe finishes in all the races in Greece that he has participated, Serderidis made his own report: “If we exclude the two mistakes, the rally went for us as expected. Eric Camilli’s help has once again proved invaluable, both in terms of pacenotes and my driving style. Our opponents were superior to us, in a championship with a high level now, something that makes us happy and motivates us to improve! I look forward to participating in the Acropolis Rally next month, in front of the Greek motorsports fans! “
