Serderidis satisfied with his presence at the Acropolis Rally

“I want to thank the Greek fans for their support throughout the race, they were incredible.” These were the first words of Jourdan Serderidis immediately after his finish at the EKO Rally Acropolis. With co-driver Fred Miclotte in the yellow Ford Puma Rally1, they successfully completed their presence in the eighth round of the World Rally Championship. The crew reached the finish in Loutraki, taking fifth place among the Greek crews in the driver’s ninth participation in our national race.

After the failure of the hydraulic power steering of his Ford Puma Rally1, which forced him to temporarily abandon his attempt in the first leg of the race, Jourdan Serderidis returned to the race on Saturday. However, in the second leg, he received another penalty for leaving the service late, as the mechanics had to repair the car’s turbo. “We made a positive start to the race, offering a rich spectacle in the Hellinikon super special stage and achieving the fastest performance among the Greeks. Unfortunately, a problem with the hydraulic power steering of the racing car on the sixth special stage forced us to temporarily abandon the race while maintaining the “Greek” lead,” said Serderidis, reviewing his participation and continued: “On Saturday we had a hard time, as we started first, “clearing” the way for the rest. Despite all this, we enjoyed it and improved our driving style considerably. On the same special stages where we had competed in the past, we increased our pace by 1 second per kilometer. We particularly liked the new special stages that the organizers chose to include in this year’s race, such as Kolines, Kefalari and Mainalo.”

In the third and final leg of the race, Serderidis moved without problems, enjoying the drive until the finish: “Knowing that we no longer had the opportunity to claim the lead among the Greek crews, we decided to approach the third and final leg without stress and to enjoy it. In the last two special stages we recorded the 25th fastest performance, which made us particularly happy, given that we started first on the road. In general, we are satisfied with our performance and we hope to return to the Acropolis Rally next year.” were the words of Jourdan Serderidis.
