Jourdan Serderidis ready for his ninth participation in the EKO Rally Acropolis

The EKO Rally Acropolis, the eighth round of the World Rally Championship, is approaching and Jourdan Serderidis could not be absent from the most important rally race in the country. The Greek driver is preparing to start for the ninth time in our national race, continuing his many years of presence on the demanding Greek routes. In the right bucket will once again be the experienced Belgian Fred Miclotte. The crew will compete with a Ford Puma Rally1, with the support of M-Sport Ford, bearing the No. 9 on the doors and windows of the car, which will make its appearance at the EKO Rally Acropolis with a new color scheme.

Every year I look forward to competing in my home race, which has returned to the World Rally Championship program since 2021”, said Jordan Serderides, who continued: “The Acropolis Rally holds a special place in my heart. The Greek special stages are, in my opinion, among the best in the world, with the constant changes of the landscape offering unique images. At the same time, people of all ages flood the special stages, creating a unique atmosphere. Their support gives us additional motivation and strength to cope with the demanding conditions that prevail during the race, a race which is one of the toughest in the World Championship.”

This year’s event marks a new era, as Loutraki “takes over” from Lamia, becoming the center of the race. The route combines new and familiar special stages, while maintaining its tough and demanding character: “We successfully completed the race reconnaissance and our impressions are positive. We like the new special stages of the race. The road surface on Parnassos and Helicon is in very good condition, while Kefalari, which returns to the program after years, is in my opinion the most beautiful special stage of this year’s event.” , said Jourdain Serderidis, who appeared cautious about Saturday’s opening special stage: “I didn’t particularly like the Naked stage, as it is a very tricky special stage, with fast turns and narrow hairpins at the end, elements that require absolute concentration from the crews.

Referring to this year’s race, Serderidis emphasized: «The Acropolis Rally is expected to be particularly demanding this year. The temperature inside the car can reach up to 60 degrees Celsius, which tests the limits of drivers and co-drivers. The tough special stages, combined with the long, simple stages, significantly increase the degree of difficulty

Regarding his goals in this year’s event, the Kavaliotis driver emphasized that completing the race is the absolute priority: “Last year we did not manage to reach the finish line, so this year our main goal is to be in Loutraki on Sunday afternoon having successfully completed the race. We will be particularly satisfied if we manage to emerge as the fastest Greek crew, while at the same time we would like to be in the top fifteen of the general classification », said Jourdan Serderidis.

The EKO Rally Acropolis 2026 includes 17 Special Stages with a total length of 324 racing kilometers.
