[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The crew of the VE2<\/sup> Rally Team participates in the first race of the year. Vasilios and Ioannis Velanis start the season from Rally Viotias to prepare as best as possible for their big goal which is none other than a decent presence in Rally Acropolis. <\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cRacing kilometers are very important for a crew and cannot be compared to testing, as much as testing is essential to success. We decided to participate in the first Greek race of the season with a car similar to the one we will race in our national race to practice and get even more familiar with it.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>said Vasilios Velanis who together with his permanent co-driver Ioannis will compete in some races abroad this year. A big goal is the Acropolis Rally in September, in which the duo participated in the last two years with complete success and wants to continue in 2023. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“The Viotias Rally is a race with very beautiful stages next to Athens. We especially liked Dafnoula as it is very reminiscent of the Akropolis specials, with tight pieces, planting stones, gaps but also more trodden and requires technique and rhythm. Skurta is a special course with very good soil that challenges you to go everywhere at full throttle. We are participating for the first time in these specials and we will try to be competitive” <\/em><\/strong>added the VE<\/strong>2<\/sup><\/strong> Rally<\/strong> Team<\/strong> driver and concluded: “My co-driver Ioannis Velani and I are inseparable and we are “bonded” as a crew. We will drive the <\/em><\/strong>Skoda<\/em><\/strong> Fabia<\/em><\/strong> R<\/em><\/strong>5 of our friend Lefteris Alygizakis, prepared by<\/em><\/strong> EMC<\/em><\/strong> Motorsport<\/em><\/strong> of Kostas Spyros who always supports us in the best possible way. Of course, the manager of the team, Robert Nahmias, is always by our side. We are very happy that the competition gathered top entries as competition makes us better. Good luck to all crews!\u201d <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The crew will race wearing a black ribbon, as a sign of mourning for the victims of the Tempe train crash.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
