DESCRIPTION
This add-on for Richard Burns Rally features a pacenote editor, an improved pacenote explanation handler, a camera editor, a car damage indicator, and a telemetry data recorder.
KEY FEATURES
1. Pacenote Editor
- editing and saving pacenotes of all types of SS (Standard RBR, add-on, BTB)
- adding, editing and deleting pacenotes
- edit pacenotes in normal driving mode
- edit pacenotes while watching a replay
- modified pacenotes are immediately active and recognized by RBR (no reloading of the SS required)
- add arbitrary custom pacenotes by defining new IDs
- prevent AND/IN/TO calls from being broadcast between adjacent notes
- dynamically move the announcement of a note forward or backward without actually changing the position of the note
- movement per hour (advance time)
- distance travel (advance distance)
- move with deceleration value “a” (Adjust forward speed with car speed “v”, [dist]) Remember that the standard “announcement distance” specified in the RBR pacenote options always has a fixed value (one square = 0.5 seconds).
- configure the editor interface to suit your needs by grouping notes into user-defined categories
- specify the index of the audio file to be played for a group of announcements
- specify the audio file to play for each note announcement
- switch between different note formats (descriptive, numerical, etc.)
Additional features:
- forward or backward transfer to any position in the SS in driving mode as well as in repeat mode
- stop and resume playback, e.g. to edit notes
- improved FPS display
- display camera position and direction
- driveline rod appearance
- show HUD/DASH in replays
- Mute notes individually in play and repeat mode
- hide the “wrong way” message
- save notes directly to the original DLS file, while remaining compatible (new identifiers are simply ignored by standard RBR)
- save the notes in a BTB file “pacenotes.ini”
- load pacenotes from an INI file in BTB format (not limited to BTB SS)
- export notes to a table file format for import into your favorite spreadsheet application (TSV)
- map any custom note to an initial note that will be used by the initial RBR announcement if the add-on is not installed Switch by double-clicking the LEFT mouse button.
2. Pacenote Manager
- replace any note sound with custom OGG audio files
- announcement of notes you have passed again if you move your car a little backwards
- announce notes during repetition (optional)
- variable announcements
3. Camera Processor, Dashboard Position, Repetition Rate
- editing of standard RBR cameras (cam_bonnet, cam_bonnet2, cam_internal) in an easy-to-use dialog in drive mode as well as in playback mode (WYSIWYG)
- save changes to the specific INI file for the car
- Add, edit and save an unlimited number of cameras in a separate configuration file (cameras.ini)
- x/y position editing of mini and full instrument panel
- saving and restoring the instrument panel position to or from a separate INI file
- slow and fast motion in replay mode
- mute notes on repeat Toggle by double-clicking the RIGHT mouse button.
4. Car damage indicator
- Indicator lists the level of damage of each part of the car in a sorted list
- sort by section name or severity, ascending or descending Toggle via the “Add-ons” menu in the Pacenote editor.
5. Telemetry data recording
- records a configurable list of telemetry parameters
- see the telemetry.ini file for details
- accessible via the camera editor window Basically the window position and size can be saved for each window by closing via the close button (the “X” in the upper right corner of the title bar).
6. Configuration
- The configuration file “Pacenote.ini” in the Plugins folder allows you to configure the plugin.
For details see the comments in the “Pacenote.sample.ini” file.
7. Restrictions
- This version does not support the NOSSE executable. Processors that do not support the SSE instruction set are now over 10 years old, so few, if any, people would be able to use such a machine to play RBR.
- RBRDLL is not compatible with this add-on.
8. Notes
- The plugin’s UI dialog page displays the status of the features.
Download GR Pacenote Plugin
Install:
1. Find the audio.dat file and rename it to audio.dat.old (Usually this step has been done with the installation of FMOD) 2. Download and unzip it to the original installation folder of Richard Burns Rally (note. If you are asked to replace files, accept the replacement of files)
Prerequisites:
1. This add-on requires RBR patch 1.02 SSE to function properly. 2. Microsoft DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010 or later) Download this package from and install it as Administrator. If this package is not installed properly, the add-on may not function at all.
Uninstall:
Simply delete the PaceNote.dll file and the Pacenote folder.
