Last week I watched the Rallye du Mont Blanc for the second time. For those who are old, this particular race is in the championship that the game has in its original version. The first time I didn’t have time to see the routes in detail, so this year I decided to look into it a little more. So I started to see the Joux Verte, Joux Plane and Cote d’Arbroz stages up close. I wanted to see the similarities they have with RBR in terms of landscapes and design. I was surprised how close the design was to Joux Verte and Cote d’Arbroz and not so much to Joux Plane. This is impressive when you consider that in a 2004 game, in addition to physics, they also paid attention to the detail of the special routes. The only thing I know for sure is that I will go to this particular race again because it combines racing with vacations in an incredibly beautiful place next to the French Alps. Now for RBR fans, and especially old ones, it’s definitely something special to see up close even a small part of the routes you’ve played with passion all these years.
I recorded all of this and much more and you can see it in the video below.
